Here we go again....

This week we had an armed robbery in the center of Bristol, in some respect nothing ever suprises me, I wonder how much money they managed to grab, before the cops arrived??
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an armed robbery at the Nationwide Building Society on Baldwin Street in Bristol. At around 6.50pm on Monday, January 28, 2008, staff from G4S were delivering cash to the society when they were set upon by two or three men who were wearing balaclavas.A short time later what is believed to have been a starting pistol was fired, although there is no suggestion any bullet was used. A member of staff from the building society suffered a suspected broken hand as a result of the struggle, she required hospital treatment. The raiders with a large amount of cash escaped in a blue Rover car, which is believed to have been stolen earlier in the day from the Gloucestershire area. This was recovered a short time later in Tower Street, Bristol. Police continue to carry out extensive enquiries into the robbery and are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in or around Baldwin Street at the time or might have any information to help police enquiries. The area would have been busy and it is believed the masked men would have been seen running through the city centre.
I cant see the money turning up some time in the near future, but this story has reminded me of the Brink's-Mat robbery over 20 years ago, where they stole gold bullion, and even today some of the millions are still missing. They melted the gold down, and laundered the money through Barkley's bank, in Bedminster, Bristol.
